Itinerary of 4 days desert tour from Marrakech :

Day 1: Marrakech to the Atlas mountains, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, and Dades gorges

Our 4 days desert tour from Marrakech journey starts in the early morning from Marrakech in where we pick up you from your accommodation. We take the road through Tizi nTichka pass, a pass of 2260m in its altitude, where you will have a stop to gratify the panoramic view of the Zigzag road.

We continue driving to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO world heritage site, and a location for filming several international movies and series such as Gladiator, GOT, and The mummy. After lunch, we pass by Ouarzazate city, the valley of roses, then Dades valley, where you will spend your night in a tradional Riad overloking to the valley.

Day 2: Dades gorges towards Todgha gorge,  Ziz valley, and Merzouga desert

The day starts with a yummy breakfast, then we take the road to Todgha gorges, a deep Canyon, and the highest gorge in Morocco about 300m high. A place to enjoy a walk beside the river and fresh air. After lunch, we take the road again to the south-east of Morocco, passing through Tinjdad, then Erfoud,  famous for its dates and fossils. Later on, our 4 days desert tour from Marrakech proceeds till we reach the village of Merzouga, where your camels and a local camel man will be waiting for you. you ride your camels towards the heart of the desert.

 You will have a unique stop in a high dune to watch the best sunset ever. Later on, arrive at the camp, a calm place which is surrounded only  by the golden sand dunes and a sky full of stars. After some rest, and dinner.  The locals will make the fire and gather around it to play the Berber music, drums, and tell you some funny stories. Also they will teach you how to play the drums like them. 

Day 3: Merzouga desert towards Rissani, Nkob, Tazarin and Ouarzazate

This new day starts early in order to catch up the sunrise in a high dune just beside your camp. After breakfast and a shower. You will have two options for the way back. Either by camels or a 4×4 vehicle. We take the road few miles to Rissani or Sijlmassa before. We walk in its tradional markets or Souk that take time on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Later on, we take the road passing by Tazarin and Nkob. After lunch in Nkoub, we drive  again enjoying the kasbahs and palm trees everywhere in the road. We will stop to enjoy the panoramic view of the longest valley in Morocco, it is called Draa valley. Next we reach Ouarzazte city for overnight.

Day 4:  Ouarzazate towards Ait Ben Haddou, high Atlas mountains and Marrakech

Our last day of the 4 days desert tour from Marrakech will start with a shower and a breakfast. You will have the chance to visit the city of Ouarzazte, which is known as the Hollywood of Africa, we will visit the main landmark on this city that is called Atlas Studio, the largest studio in Africa. Another visit will be in Taourirt Kasbah.  After lunch we take the road towards Marrakech crossing the high Atlas mountains. Enjoying the old villages and landscapes from the top of Tizi nTichka pass. Our final destination will be on the evening or the late afternoon in Marrakesh exactly in your accommodation.
