Itinerary of 5 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga :

Day 1: Marrakech to the Atlas mountains, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, and Dades gorges

Our 5 days trip from Marrakech to Merzouga starts from Marrakech, where we pick you up from your accommodation. We take the road through the high pass of Tizi nTichka 2260m high. We stop there to enjoy the landscapes and a panoramic view of High Atlas Mountains. We go directly to a UNESCO world heritage site called kasbah Ait Ben Haddou and a location where many parts of movies and series were filmed like Gladiator, Game of thrones. We discover its history and its old buildings. 

After lunch we head to Boumaln dades crossing by the capital of roses Kalaat Magouna, we will have a stop there. As soon as we arrive Boumalne visit a rocks formation as the monkey fingers. Then go to the hotel/riad for your overnight.

Day 2: Dades gorge towards Todgha gorge, Ziz valley, and Merzouga desert

After  shower and breakfast, the 5 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga drives us to the biggest valley of palm trees Draa valley. Then go to Todgha gorge, walk under this canyon of 400m high. After lunch, we drive towards Merzouga village, where your camels are waiting for you. You ride them with a local camel man. In your way to your camp, you will have a unique stop to enjoy the shinning sunset from a high dune. Then go to your camp, a peaceful place. After dinner and some rest. The  locals will make the fire, they will play drums, Twareg music, and tell stories for you in a starry night. 

Day 3: 4×4 Merzouga desert excursion and Khamlia

This new day in our 5 days trip from Marrakech starts early in order to catch up the sunrise in a high dune. After breakfast, we will do the desert tour by a 4×4 vehicle. In which we will visit first the nomads who still live in old tents, we will have a cup of tea with them and exploit the chance to know about their harsh life more. Then we visit Mifis an abandoned village where the French used to live during the colonial period. 

Next we drive few minutes to Khamlia village, listen to Gnawa music played by the locals, which are originally were brought from Mali and Sudan, later on they became the locals of the village. Finally, drive back to your riad or hotel.

Day 4:  Merzouga towards Rissani, Nkob and Ouarzazate

After breakfast we drive about 45 kilometers to Rissani (Sijlmassa before) the ancient capital of Tafilalet region, it was an important commercial place of the caravans a long time ago. Discover its traditional market, where the locals offer their local products. Next we take the road crossing by Alnif, Tazarine, and Nkoub. After lunch, we will cross the anti Atlas via Tizi n  Tnifift port of 1660m, and head to Ouarzazte city, the Hollywood of Africa where you will spend your night.

Day 5:  Ouarzazate towards, Taourirt kasbah, high Atlas mountains and Marrakech

The last day starts with a Morrocan breakfast. In this day we will visit Atlas Studio, the biggest Studio in Africa, then kasbah of Taourirt. Later on, we take the road crossing by Kasbah Amridil via Telouate then continue to cross the High Atlas mountains towards Marrakech which is going to be our last stop. We drop you off at your accommodation(airport, hotel, riad…). Our 5 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga ends.
