10 Days Morocco Tour from Marrakech

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Welcome to Morocco! Your 10-day adventure begins upon your arrival in Marrakech, where you will be escorted to your traditional riad. After settling in, take the opportunity for a leisurely stroll to the city’s vibrant heart, the Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Immerse yourself in its sensory spectacle of street performers, storytellers, and food stalls.


Day 2: Sightseeing in Marrakech

Today is dedicated to discover the historical and cultural treasures of Marrakech with a local guide. Your exploration begins at the magnificent Bahia Palace, celebrated for its intricate architecture and lush courtyards. Discover the architectural grandeur of the Koutoubia Mosque and delve into the history of the Saadian Tombs. Later, lose yourself in the  alleyways of the bustling souks, a vibrant marketplace of traditional crafts, spices, and textiles. The day concludes with a visit to the serene Majorelle Garden, a botanical oasis of peace and beauty.


Day 3: Marrakech Ait Ben Haddou Ouarzazate

Our journey continues as we depart from Marrakech heading to the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka pass. We will pause to explore Ait Ben Haddou, a remarkable fortified village and UNESCO World Heritage site, famous as a backdrop for epic films such as Gladiator part one and two. After exploring these ancient kasbahs, we proceed to Ouarzazate, known as “Africa’s cinematic capital,” where you can discover the world of desert filmmaking at the renowned Atlas Studios, the biggest movies studio in Africa. Finally we head to your Riad for dinner and overnight. 


Day 4: Ouarzazate → Kasbah Amridil Dades Valley

Today, we journey deeper into the landscapes of southern Morocco, starting with a visit to the Skoura oasis, a verdant expanse of palm groves and ancient kasbahs. We will visit the authentic Amridil Kasbah where we explore all the details about this fortress. We will then travel through the Valley of Roses where the locals grow a lot of roses. Finally we will arrive at the Dades gorge where you will have an optional hike through the canyon of the monkey fingers. Dinner and overnight at your traditional Riad. 


Day 5: Dades Valley → Todgha Gorge Merzouga Desert

We begin our day with a tasty breakfast, after we start driving toward  the magnificent Todra Gorges, where you can walk between the towering canyon walls. We will drive through some Berber viallges until we reach the Sahara desert by afternoon. You will start your camel adventure toward your camp in the heart of Erg Chebbi dunes. After witnessing a spectacular desert sunset in a high dune, you will arrive at your camp for the evening to enjoy the Berber music and dinner under a brilliant sky of stars.


Day 6: Merzouga  Ifrane Fes

You should not miss the chance to enjoy a stunning sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we begin our journey towards Fes. We will travel through the Ziz Valley, known for its vast, lush palm groves. Our route continues to the town of Midelt, located between the Middle and High Atlas mountain ranges. After we stop at the Cedar forest of the wild monkeys and the city of Ifrane which is called the Swidezrland of Morocco. Our final stop will be in Fes, the cultural and spiritual capital of Morocco.


Day 7: Guided tour of Fes

A full day is devoted to explore the Medina of Fes with a knowledgable local guide. One of the world’s most magnificent medieval cities. We will navigate its labyrinthine medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and visit iconic landmarks such as Al Quaraouiyine University, the oldest continually operating university in the world. The day also includes a visit to the Medina’s famous tanneries, where you can witness the ancient art of leather dyeing in vibrant, colorful pits. You will also visit the Bou inania Medrassa and the royal palace. As you will explore the handcrafts of the Medina with its narrow alleys. 


Day 8: Fes Chefchaouen

Today we journey to the enchanting “Blue City” or Chefchaouen, nestled in the scenic Rif Mountains. Spend the day meandering through its iconic blue-washed streets, discovering the historic Kasbah Museum, and relaxing in its tranquil main square. This peaceful town offers a unique and beautiful retreat, providing a chance to unwind and soak in the natural beauty of the Moroccan countryside. A walk to the Spanish mosque is highly recommended to see a breathtaking sunset and the panoramic view of the whole Chefchaouen. 


Day 9: Chefchaouen  Rabat

Our journey continues to Rabat, the elegant capital of Morocco. Here, we will explore key historical landmarks, including the iconic Hassan Tower and the picturesque Kasbah of the Udayas. Enjoy a stroll along the Atlantic coast, experiencing the city’s unique and seamless blend of modern and historic charm.


Day 10: Rabat  Marrakech

On the final day of your Moroccan tour, we travel back to the vibrant city of Marrakech. The end of the tour can be in Casablancca also if your departure fligh or you prefer to be droped off there. This marks the conclusion of your unforgettable 10-day adventure through Morocco.

    How do I get to and from the desert camp?

    Your private driver will take you to the desert area, where you will meet the camel team or take a 4×4 transfer to the camp crossing the dunes with a stop a long the way to enjoy a breathtaking sunset.

    The following day, you will have again two included options for the way back, either camels or Jeep. Also you have alternative options with extra charge which are Atv quads or Dune buggy.

    What is the plan once we get to the desert camp?

    After enjoying the camel ride or 4×4 and the sunset over the dunes, You will check into your tent, have dinner, and spending the evening around the bonfire with traditional music played by the local under starry skies.

    The following morning, you can watch the sunrise from the nearby dunes to the camp, have breakfast, and then leave the camp by camel ride or Jeep to continue your Morocco tour.

    What activities can we do during this tour?

    Beside the activities that you have already included in the tour, you can enjoy other extra activities:

    • Hot air Balloon experience in Marrakech.

    Is one night enough in the Sahara Desert?

    For most travelers, one night in the Sahara is enough to experience the highlights, including the desert sunset, camel ride or 4×4 transfer, dinner at the camp, traditional music, and sunrise the following morning.

    However, if you prefer a slower experience, we can arrange an additional night in the desert. This gives you more time to relax and enjoy the surroundings without feeling rushed.
