15 Days Grand Morocco tour from Tangier

Day 1: Arrival day in Tangier

Your 15-day Moroccan journey commences in the international gateway of Tangier. We will pick you up either from the airport or the port. After that we will explore the main sightseeings in Tangier including the Caves of Hercules, a mythical grotto fabled to be the hero’s resting place. Here, you will marvel at its famous sea-facing opening, shaped by the relentless tides. We will visit Cape spartel that considers as the northwesternmost point of the African continent. Also here where the Mediterranean ocean meets the Atlantic ocean. Spend the rest of the day in the Medina of Tangier. 


Day 2: Tangier Asilah → Rabat

After breakfast, we drive less than one hour to another coastal small city called Asilah. An artistic haven whose blue-and-white medina will instantly charm you with its expressive murals.

Our route continues to Rabat, the nation’s elegant capital and a “City of Gardens”. This city presents a sophisticated blend of modern avenues and deep-rooted traditions. You will have the chance to discover the main attractions of Rabat, includinh Hassan Tower, Kasbah Oudaya, Challa and more others. Then checkvin to your comfortable hotel for the night.


Day 3: Rabat → Casablanca

Today’s journey traces the Atlantic shoreline to Casablanca, Morocco’s bustling economic powerhouse. The highlight is a visit to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, an architectural masterpiece with one of the world’s tallest minarets. It stands as a breathtaking symbol of the nation and is one of the few mosques in the country open to non-Muslim visitors. You will spend the night in a well-appointed city hotel.


Day 4: Casablanca → Essaouira

Enjoy a stunning coastal drive as we make our way to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Essaouira. A paradise for windsurfers and art lovers alike, its unique atmosphere is unforgettable. Tonight, you will experience authentic Moroccan hospitality with a stay in a traditional riad.


Day 5: Essaouira  → Marrakech

Savor a final free morning in Essaouira, perhaps for a last stroll through its vibrant medina or along the bustling fishing port. We then travel inland to the legendary “Red City,” Marrakech. The rest of the afternoon is yours to get a first taste of the city’s intoxicating energy before settling into your beautiful riad.


Day 6: Exploring Marrakech

A full day dedicated to uncovering the treasures of Marrakech with an expert local guide. You will be immersed in the sensory spectacle of Jemaa el-Fna square, a whirlwind of storytellers, musicians, and tantalizing food stalls. You will visit the famous Bahia Palace to see where the Sultans used to live back in the date. You will discover one of the old Quranic schools known as Madrassa ben Youssef.

You will also explore the distinct neighborhoods of Guéliz and the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellah), taking in the city’s most significant UNESCO-recognized monuments.

The rest of the day will be free to enjoy your own walk or your lovely riad.


Day 7: Excursion to the Ouzoud Waterfalls

Today we venture into the High Atlas Mountains to witness the splendor of the Ouzoud Waterfalls. As North Africa’s highest cascades, they plunge 110 meters into a series of pools, creating a lush, green paradise. Enjoy the scenery, often frequented by playful Barbary macaques, before we return to Marrakech as the sun begins to set.


Day 8:  Marrakech → Kasbah Ait ben Haddou Dades Valley

We embark on a spectacular drive across the High Atlas Mountains via the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka pass. Along the way, we will explore the historic Kasbahs of Ait Benhaddou, a fortified clay village made famous as a backdrop for films like Babel and Gladiator.

After Lunch, we explore the main attraction of  Ouarzzazte which is the largest studio of movies in Africa, with  an optional inside tour with a local guide. 

Our journey continues through the fragrant Valley of the Roses, and ending the day in the stunning Dades Gorges. Dinner and your overnight stay will be in a charming local riad overlooking to the Dades valley.


Day 9: Dades Valley → Todgha Gorges Merzouga

After breakfast at your riad, we start our day by driving towartds Todra Gorges for a morning walk beside the river through the towering 300-meter-deep canyons of the Todra.

Our path leads to the edge of the great Sahara passing by some Berber villages. You will arrive at the majestic sand sea of Erg Chebbi by riding your camels to enjoy the dunes glow under the setting sun. A unique moment to enjoy the peace and the tranquility of the desert. Later you enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner and a Berber party with the locals around the bonfire under starry sky.


Day 10: Merzouga Desert Adventure

To wake up early for a breathtaking sunrise is highly recommended. After a sasty breakfast at your camp, it is time for an off-road 4×4 adventure to go deeper into the Sahara’s secrets, such as visiting a nomadic family who still live in old tents. It is a chance to learn about the daily life of these people and how they survive in the harsh desert. We will also stop in the village of Khamlia to experience a powerful performance of traditional Gnawa music. 

Toadys lunch will be the Berber pizza or called as Madfouna in a traditional restaurant. After that you will have a free afternoon to rest or enjoy some of the avalaible activities in the area such as Atv quads or dune Buggies. Overnight and dinner at your Riad. However it is possible to  spend another night in the desert camp if you want.


Day 11: Merzouga → Ziz valley Midelt

After breakfast, we start our journey towards the capitale of apples Midelt. Our first stop is the authentic city of Rissani or Sijlmassa before. If we are lucky to come on Thursday,  Tuesday or Sunday which is the Market day, and that is when all the locals come sell their goods. It is a chance to see the local life.

Next stop will be Erfoud which is known for fossils and marble. Our last stop will be the Ziz Valley, a vast and beautiful oasis carpeted with millions of palm trees. Your day concludes in the mountain town of Midelt. 

Day 12: Midelt → Ifrane Fez

Today our destination will be Fes via the Middle Atlas mountains. On our way we will stop in the cedar forest of Azrou where the Barbarian monkeys live. You will have a chance to feed and to play with these friendly monkeys.

Just twenty minutes we will stop at Ifrane. It is called as the Switzerland of Morocco due to their similarity. By late afternoon, we will arrive in Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital, where you will check into your traditional riad.


Day 13: Fes with Local Guide

A guided tour of Fes typically covers the highlights of both the ancient medina and its surrounding districts. starting by the outside of the Medina including the the Royal Palace gates, The Mellah where the Jewish used to live. and a scenic viewpoint such as Borj Nord for sweeping views over the Medina. After that you will start the walking tour starting with Bab Boujloud (the Blue Gate), one of the main entrances to the Medina. and a walk through the UNESCO-listed Fes el-Bali, including the main streets of Talaa Kebira and Talaa Seghira.

Key stops include the beautifully decorated Bou Inania Madrasa, the historic Al-Qarawiyyin University and Mosque (viewed from the exterior), the elegant Nejjarine Fountain, and the famous Chouara Tanneries, where traditional leather dyeing can be seen from panoramic terraces. The tour often continues to the artisan quarters and souks, Seffarine Square with its copper workshops, the finely detailed Attarine Madrasa.


Day 14:  Fes → Volubilis Chefchaouen

After breakfast at your Riad. Today’s destination  Chefchaouen, the “Blue City” nestled in the Rif Mountains. On our way we will pass by the archeogical site of Volubilis, where the roman settled. This site dating back to the 3rd century BCE. After a guided tour of this remarkable and historical site, we will continue our way towards our final destination Chefchaouen.

The rest of the day is free to explore its distinctive, indigo-hued streets. a walk to the Spanish Mosque is highly recommended to see the sunset and the panoramic view of the city. Overnight in a charming riad.


Day 15: Chefchaouen Tangier | Departure

    How do I get to and from the desert camp?

    Your private driver will take you to the desert area, where you will meet the camel team or take a 4×4 transfer to the camp crossing the dunes with a stop a long the way to enjoy a breathtaking sunset.

    The following day, you will have again two included options for the way back, either camels or Jeep. Also you have alternative options with extra charge which are Atv quads or Dune buggy.

    What is the plan once we get to the desert camp?

    After enjoying the camel ride or 4×4 and the sunset over the dunes, You will check into your tent, have dinner, and spending the evening around the bonfire with traditional music played by the local under starry skies.

    The following morning, you can watch the sunrise from the nearby dunes to the camp, have breakfast, and then leave the camp by camel ride or Jeep to continue your Morocco tour.

    What activities can we do during this tour?

    Beside the activities that you have already included in the tour, you can enjoy extra activities as Atv quads, Dune buggy,or horse ride in the Sahara desert.
