8 Days Morocco Tour from Fes

Day 1: Fes  Meknes  Volubilis Chefchaouen

Your adventure begins at 8:30 AM, departing from Fes for the imperial city of Meknes, renowned for its magnificent defensive walls. En route, you’ll step back in time at the sprawling Roman ruins of Volubilis. Once in Meknes, you’ll admire the intricate beauty of the Bab Mansour gate before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant. The afternoon journey takes you to Chefchaouen , Morocco’s blue town, where you will settle in for the night.


Day 2: Chefchaouen  Rabat Casablanca

After breakfast, your morning is dedicated to have some free time to enjoy the blue alleys of Chefchaouen. After we drive towards the main capital of Morocco. We will be exploring Rabat’s key sights, including the charming and historic Kasbah of the Oudayas, and Hassan tower. Afterwards, we travel to Casablanca to witness the grandeur of the Hassan II Mosque, a masterpiece of modern Islamic architecture and one of the largest mosques on earth. Finally, go for check-in and an overnight stay in the economical capital Casablanca.


Day 3: Exploring Marrakech with a Local Guide

on the 3rd day we will drive straight to Marrakech. The rest of the day is devoted to the captivating “Red City” of Marrakech. Guided by a local expert, you’ll immerse yourself in the lively spectacle of Djemaa El-Fna square, a whirlwind of performers, storytellers, and food vendors. You will also find tranquility in the lush Majorelle Gardens, admire the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, and discover the opulent Bahia Palace, the historic Ben Youssef Madrasa, and the ancient Saadian Tombs. After a full day of discovery, you’ll return to your accommodation to relax.


Day 4: Marrakech  Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou  Ouarzazate

Leaving the city buzz behind, we set out at 8:30 AM towards Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Sahara.” This spectacular drive takes you across the High Atlas Mountains via the dramatic Tizi-n-Tichka pass. Along the way, you’ll visit the crumbling, atmospheric Kasbah of Telouet. For lunch, you’ll stop at the foot of the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, before exploring its ancient, fortified streets. The day ends with a short drive to Ouarzazate for the night.


Day 5: Ouarzazate  Skoura  Dades Gorges

Your journey continues with a morning visit to the impressive Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate and the historical Kasbah of Amridil in Skoura. From there, you will travel along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” passing through the Valley of Roses in M’Gouna, famous for its cosmetic products. After lunch and a stop to see unique local caves, you’ll arrive in the stunning Dades Gorges, where the river has carved a path through the mountains. As you can enjoy an optional hike through the finger monkeys canyon. Dinner and overnight at the Dades gorges.


Day 6: Dades Gorges  Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)

Today you will journey from the gorges towards the Sahara, first stopping at the magnificent Todra Gorges, where you can walk between its towering canyon walls. The route continues through Tinjdad and the oasis of Rissani before you reach the edge of the desert. At your camp in Merzouga, you’ll be welcomed with traditional mint tea before embarking on an unforgettable camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes to witness a magical sunset. You’ll spend the night in the desert, enjoying a traditional dinner and campfire.


Day 7: Merzouga  Erfoud Ziz Valley  Midelt

After breakfast and a refreshing shower at the camp, your journey north begins. You’ll pass through Erfoud, a town known for its rich fossil deposits, and then travel through the vast and beautiful Ziz Valley, a stunning ribbon of green palm groves cutting through the arid landscape. Your destination is Midelt, the “apple capital” of Morocco, nestled at the foot of Mount Ayachi, where you will stay for the night.


Day 8: Midelt  Cedar Forest  Ifrane  Fes

On your final day, you’ll travel over the Tizi n Talghmt mountain pass to Azrou, which means “stone.” Here, you’ll take a break to observe the playful Barbary macaques that inhabit the surrounding cedar forests. After lunch, you will continue your journey towards Fes. We will drop you off at your accommodation or the airport in the late afternoon, marking the end of your incredible tour through Morocco’s imperial cities and the Sahara Desert.
